What is CRPF?
As an initiative to promote educational and research activities across the university based on the collaboration of industrial, governmental, and academic organizations to achieve a carbon-recycling society, Doshisha University has launched the Doshisha Education and Research Platform for Carbon Recycling (CRPF) on June 1, 2021.
Reducing greenhouse gas (mainly CO2) emissions is a global priority. Japan has also declared its goal to achieve carbon neutrality and reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. In tackling this issue, Doshisha University has developed fundamental technologies for reducing carbon emission and carbon recycling. Human Resource Development Advanced Liberal Arts (ALA)
In addition to technological innovation, it is also important to have a workforce capable of designing the entire society while incorporating new technologies. This platform develops future social innovators who will address environmental issues in earnest through the Next Environment Collaborative Creation Course where working adults and students learn together based on conscience education—the origin of education at Doshisha University.

The technical forum is an information exchange system for tackling environmental and energy issues inside and outside Japan.
It also functions as a system to share information on the intellectual property originating from this platform.
