A research paper by Prof. Takuya Goto, President of the Platform, and Dr. Yuta Suzuki, Assistant Professor at Harris Science Research Institute, has been published in Electrochimica Acta.

Takuya Goto, Professor of Graduate School of Science and Engineering and Yuta Suzuki, Assistant Professor of Harris Science Research Institute, have developed a new method for the electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide (CO2) using high-temperature molten salts.
Nations across the globe are striving relentlessly to reduce their net carbon footprint, and efforts are currently being undertaken worldwide to reduce greenhouse gases, including CO2. To this end, a research team from Doshisha University has recently developed a novel method for converting CO2 into useful and commercially viable carbonaceous materials, such as multi-walled carbon nanotubes, with the help of sustainable electrochemistry.

“WE DO KYOTO!” Notice of recruitment of youth supporters

Since 2017, the 20th anniversary of the Kyoto Protocol, Kyoto Prefecture has been developing the “WE DO KYOTO! Project,” under the slogan of “WE DO KYOTO! (We are doing something good for the environment)” to promote eco-actions by prefectural residents.

Faced with various environmental problems such as decarbonization, the efforts and ideas of the younger generation are required.

We are pleased to inform you the recruitment of “WE DO KYOTO! Youth Supporters,” who plan and manage voluntary environmental awareness projects as well as cooperate with environmental awareness projects conducted by Kyoto Prefecture. (Application deadline: May 31st (Tuesday))
